The Abernathy Center, in Oregon City, has so much to offer wedding couples. They have two outdoor locations, Abigail's Garden with a beautiful gazebo for the ceremony, a tented area for the reception and a separate bar area. The Veiled Garden is an indoor/outdoor venue with the ceremony taking place in the wedding gazebo in the lush greenery of the garden area and the reception indoors in the Ballroom. The Abernathy Center has announced that they will be adding a Wedding Chapel in 2011.
Good For: The Abernathy Center has many amenities including an on-site catering company and bar service that offer many delicious food and beverage options including signature cocktails. The staff is well-prepared to take care of all of your wedding day needs. An easy Portland area location for guests to get to, plenty of parking, and ample dressing rooms for the bride and groom, just to name a few of the many amenities that this site offers. Truly I consider The Abernathy Center one of the top outdoor wedding locations in the Portland area.

Limitations: It was quite difficult to think of any limitations or difficulties with this site. One thing to keep in mind is that they do two weddings a day and bridal parties have about 1 to 1 1/2 hours to get everything set up, so it doesn't offer much time for detailed decorating, but both ceremony garden areas are so naturally beautiful that the site doesn't require much decorating.
