A recent article written by Chris Cone, Portland Fashion Examiner, about my fashion marketing students and our 13th Doernbecher Children's Hosptial Charity Fashion Show and Auction. I'm proud to note that the Fashion Marketing Students have to date donated $70,000 to Doernbecher Children's Hospital from our annual event.

We begin each year with a overall show theme and then the students select an fashion inspiration related to the theme and create and style their set for the show. The "Fashion Stylists" design and style the clothing for their set and select accessories, shoes, hair and makeup looks and music to complete their look.
Our annual fashion show has been such an amazing and rewarding experience for me as the teacher, and it has given students some hands-on experience in fashion and some direction on interesting, rewarding and successful career paths in the field of fashion (more on alumni careers soon).
