Italian Lemoncello Spritzer with Prosecco

Lemoncello is a liqueur from the Sorrentine Peninsula region of Italy; the beautiful Almafi Coast.  In Italy Lemoncello is served as both an aperitif' and a dessert beverage.  Lemoncello should be served ice cold and kept in the freezer.

The Italian Lemoncello Spritzer with Prosecco is a wonderful sparkling and refreshing cocktail that compliments a light Italian summer meal, a brunch, or as a "Signature Cocktail" for a wedding that celebrates Italian heritage. 

Italian Lemoncello Spritzer with Prosecco

2-3 tbsp. (to taste) Lemoncello
Prosecco, Italian Sparkling Wine
Raspberries for garnish
Lemon peel strip

Use a champagne flute or a bellini glass.  Pour 2-3 tbsp. Lemoncello in the bottom of the glass.  Fill with Prosecco.  Add 2-3 raspberries for garnish and a small strip of lemon peel.
